Local Attractions
DuPont State Forest has a large collection of waterfalls and hiking areas. Great for photography and viewing some of the best of what the mountains of NC have to offer.

The Church of the Good Shepherd is the Episcopalian Church in Cashiers, NC where William Bradley and Tabitha Rust got married.
Horseback Riding is available at Arrowmont Stables.
Whiteside Mountain Trail is a great hike for anyone visiting the mountains. It has great views from this magnificent mountain face.

Panthertown Valley Nature Conservancy is a national charity that buys land and preserves it for future generations. Here is a map of Panthertown.
Friends of Lake Glenville seeks to protect one of the greatest reservoirs east of the Mississippi. Lake Glenville is one of the cleanest lakes east of the Mississippi and this organization needs all the help it can get to keep it that way. This reservoir is one of the greatest attractions to this area. Its clean waters and waterfalls make it a wonderful attraction to tourists and locals alike.
